What exactly are the different ranks and how do you get them, anyway?

It's based on how many posts you've made.

Really, cause I've seen some who have like over 500, and they're still down here with us Junior Officers (I Guess LT. isn't really Junior, but it mights as well be. We're cannon fodder around here. I mena there's enough of us).

Hmmm . . . I guess they've simplified the rank structure not to include enlisted and other mainly administrative ranks (i.e. Major/LTCMDR). But can you imagine the paper work that would be required to become an officer from the enlisted corps.
