I was looking through amazon.de, preparing for my vacation later this month, looking for some good novels to take along.
Now I have seen the books of the so called 'Second Decade' of TNG: 'Death in Winter', Q&A', 'Before Dishonor', 'Greater Than The Sum'.
I have read the relaunch of DS9 and VOY (well at least the first books) and kinda liked them. Didn't like the 'A time to...' series of TNG.
The Next Generation is my favorite series of Trek, and I think it'll be hard for me missing characters like Data and Troi (without Will Riker I think I could manage ).
So what do you think of this TNG relaunch? Would you advice me to read them? The reviews over at amazon.de were very bad, especially Peter David's 'Before Dishonor' and the Pluto incident included didn't sit all to well with the readers there.
Finally: Is there somewhere in the books, any mentioning at all, of the B4 plot that started in Star Trek Nemesis (and the deleted scenes found on the DVD of said movie)???
I worked for Section 31 and all I got was this stupid T-shirt!

While spending alot of time waiting around hospitals, I picked up the TNG series - starting with Resistance, then erm...Before Dishonor, (??) and now I am into Greater Than the Sum.
So far I have enjoyed them, they are Borg heavy, but they were enjoyable to read.
Some strange character stuff at times, relationship wise, but so far they have been alright.
I was not a fan of "Time of..." series, I think I read Time to Kill and Time to Heal based on a recommendation of a friend.
So, next decade has been good, they are working into the Destiny series starting soon.
