    Life Changes

My US Air Force retirement ceremony is scheduled for June 29th. After taking the summer off to depressurize, I'll be on my way in September to Lutheran seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Who, me? A pastor? That's kinda scary, don'tcha think?

Congrats on the retirement, Sarge! It's well earned. Bravo-Zulu for a successful career....even if it was in the Air Force...

    Congrats, Sarge
A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.

High Speed, Low Drag, Hooah, and all that rubish. Congradulations Sarge on a job well done. Those young wipper snappers will take it from here (hopefully not messing things up on their way on). Oh, one more thing. Don't forget to take a big old gulp of that grog on the way out.
Ever thought of doing Chaplain work once you get your seminary time out of the way? I here they are hurting for chaplains in some of the branches.

I guess this lends a whole new meaning to "Comin' in on a wing and a Prayer." Give 'em ... (ahem!) heck, Padre Sarge!

Ephesians 6, the chapter with the whole armor of God. When your pastor finds out you're in the SCA and have a suit of armor, it's just a matter of time before he asks you to wear it to church for a scripture reading.

Yeah, the military is short on chaplains right now, but I'll be 48 by the time I'm ordained, and I hope we won't need so many that far down the road. It's an option, but not one I'd jump at right now.

Thanks for all the good wishes, everyone.
