    Question Ferengi Sourcebook Interests

For sometime now I have been throwing around the idea of a Ferengi sourcebook. I know some of you are thinking "Why?", and you might be right in that though.

For about the last 13 months I have been playing a unscrupulous Ferengi in a Romulan black market campaign, and I have found that they are quite a handy race to have when acquiring things. Upon further investigation on the net, and also reviewing the Ferengi episodes of TNG, DS9 and VOY, there is a full history and culture with about as much information as the Romulans, Klingons or Cardassians.

If there is anyone out there who wishes to contribute to this, could you please post here. I want to know if anyone out there has similar thoughts.

A while ago the idea was kicked around... but despite repeated pesterings no one sent me much stuff. Once school gets out I'm planning on trying to take what I have and get a rough draft together for people to look at.

This is about the fifth time this issue as come up and every time it seems to die a quick death. I think it’s safe to say there isn’t much interest in any kind of comprehensive Ferengi sourcebook.

I don’t know if the threads are still online, but do a search and see if you can come up with the list of suspects that were interested—perhaps you still might be able to pull something together.

Instead of a full blown sourcebook, how about a series of essays on the Ferengi posted to the site? Perhaps it's the magnitude of the project which is pushing people away.

I checked the previous threads out, and it looks like there is definately enough details and info floating about. As it has been suggested, I will contact the people who were originally throwing the idea around, and see what happens from there.

well get in touch, and you can have the basic ICON stats for both the Ferengi Shuttlepod, and the Larger Runabout sized version...

Along with the template for the Ferengi Accountant (read basic template for a Liquidator)

Well, I prepared a lot of material for the project, but I was loathe to contribute it for various reasons. If there's a group serious about doing some Ferengi material, I'd be more than happy to pitch in.

Heck, I'll do it myself if need be. But, obviously, group contributions would be optimal!

P.S. Yes, I even explained why Ferengi paint their fingernails and why Ferengi males don't want females to engage in business. But it's just my two strips worth. YMMV.

    Thumbs up

Ok... There appears to be several you who are legitimately interested. Since space is a premium on TrekRPG, what I intend to do is set space somewhere to be useds as a storage area of sorts, and will send the details to those of you who have mentioned that they'd be interested. Look out for an email soon, an with a bit of luck an teamwork, this book will be on it's way (again) 8-)
