Thread: Farewell

    Farewell

I feel odd as I leave the library today, as if when I am able to come back this will all be gone. I almost died friday night when I sufferred a brain siezure and went out for over an hour. I am better now but I am sill not out of the woods yet. Now I come and find that the one place which I have dedicated the most amount of time on the internet too will soon be gone and with it connections to people who I consider friends and allies and even worthy foes at times. I am reminded of a scne from the movie Waterloo when Napoleon (Rod Stiger) is entering exile on Elba and he is addressing the old guard for the last time and says:

"I have come to say good bye. Though I love you all I can not embrace you all . . . (Napoleon sees a flag and walks to it and kisses it, embracing it) . . . Remember me my soldiers . . . my children!"

Were will I find a place now to bounce my screwy ideas around ?
    Its me Eric R.

Bluecoat, come over to Matt's new forum. While TrekRPGNet may be going away, the group is still together, busily moving things over to the new site and starting anew. Please join us.

Jeez, Eric, I hope you're doing well. My dad had a mild stroke last week - he's doing OK; hope the same is true for you.

Looks like most of the TrekRPG crew are heading over to Matt's site. Hope to see you there.

Oh, I finally got the writeup on Daimon Bonk done. I'll send you a copy if you like.

    Thumbs up

Here's hoping you have a speedy recovery, Eric! Come by Matt's place when you can, we'll all be around.

Plus, Bonk can't let Queeg be the only Ferengi bastard in the Trek community!

    Cheers,

Well, as the mother said to the kid who wanted to go bungee jumping, "If all the other kids jumped off a bridge, would you?"

Every time I hear that, I think of the movie "Lost Boys"....
