I found this document and thought I would post a link.

It is a lifepath generator for Star Trek, while created for a d20 conversion, it seems to be a good tool for new players.

The document is from Where No Man Has Gone Before, a d20 Star Trek site.

I always had a soft spot for lifepath generators.
