    History:
The Parallax Class was the first vessel class to make use of the new Quantum Slipstream
Drive, an extremely fast drive that makes astonishingly long-range journeys across
tens of thousands of light-years possible. Although particularly designed for
exploration, the Parallax was designed with some combat and cargo capabilities in mind,
as well as with a number of highly advanced systems, such as sensors.
The vessels will enter production at a rate of four per year, and will be assigned
to exploration of the Gamma and Delta Quadrants.

...ICON converted stats will be available in the Utopia Planitia Section.

I'd argue this was the first production ship that uses the Slipstream drive. The actual first Slipstream ship should have been little more than massive amounts of Resistance, the toughest SIF Starfleet could think of, the best Flight Control technology, all crammed into a single hull. Several labs as well, to record the screwups that would occur, so they could be recreated, and solved.

But your design is a nice one as well. Lots of toys to keep the ship safe, years of supplies on board, and a good sized cargo bay as well. For the personnel transporters, do you mean a total of 28 people in calacity, spread evenly among four locations?

Are the Shuttle Replicators so the ship can leave behind a trail of Shuttlecrumbs in case it gets lost?

Still, its first mission might be heading out to the Hirogen's communications network, and extending its reach, or figuring out how they work.
