Imagus is me being pretentious (I think I mentioned this somewhere else ) - "magus" as in magician, merged with "image" - kind of pig-latin for "illusionist." I just thought it sounded cool...

The "Slartibart-jon" line comes from me doing the maps for the Cardassia project (and the fact that I work for ProFantasy of Campaign Cartographer infamy). (And my name is Jon.)

I do wish I had a cool Trek handle though...

JALU3, the book is "Voyage of the Dawn Treader", the character's name is Reepicheep, and he is a MOUSE, most certainly not a RAT, and if you do not apologize promptly and sincerely, he will most certainly send his second to contact yours, arrange a meeting at dawn, and run you through right up to the hilt! (He's my favorite Narnian, too.)

Cessna, no tailwheel time at all? :P Thpppt! Time to take off the training wheels and learn to fly real airplanes with the little wheel in back where God intended it to be. Remember, real aviators drag tail.

    Wink

Its what my father said when he got the news

Actually, it was just a word that I've used for my pilots in flight sims. Maybe that gives away something about my flying skills. Oh well, as my old branch would say,"If it flys, it dies!"

    Cool

I’m of a mind that if I’m willing to post something then I’d better be prepared to put my name behind it. Otherwise, goodbye credibility.

I sometimes post under other aliases, though. (kidding!)

Mine's pretty obvious. Named myself after my TrekMUX. It used to be exclusively for TrekRPGnet, but I find myself using the moniker more often on other sites.

On the net I also go by 'Piouhgd' (the name of a Butthole Surfers CD, which was a misprint in first pressing - it eventually got changed to Pioughd which is the correct phonetical spelling of the abbreviation P.O.'d - but I stuck with the first as a homage).

And even more rarely I'm known to go by my cat's name: Sushi Bob.

And then there's my Mundane name, Kevin. Which doesn't lend itself toward any more credibility than Anomaly, or Piouhgd, or Sushi Bob.

My first handle, though, from the Days Of Yore (before the Internet) came from when I used BBS's in the early 80's. Troll King, from a character in an issue of Elfquest I had. That one takes the Lame Cake Award. What can I say. I was young.

Publius was the pseudonym used by Hamilton, Jay and Madison in writing the Federalist Papers, a defense of the American Constitution during the Ratification process in New York (1787-1788). It translates (very roughly) as "Public Man". As a Political Scientist, I have used Publius for a variety of things like the website for my University Courses and my username here.

My name begins with my initials, M. B.- Michael Burke. The rest comes from my license plate, KRAWLER. I used to always play Nightcrawler of the X-men as a kid

I always hated my middle name, HUGH, until that episode of Next Gen. It kind of made things alright.

My ‘Handle’ (that sounds so ‘80’s citizen band’ ), was derived from a character (started pc, now predominately npc).
He’s a third generation muddian android w/positronic neural net w/an emotions matrix. The reason why he’s called Modem, is because of his ability to link to computers by touch (sort of a cybernetic ‘mind-mend’), thus enabling him waaaaay faster response time in activating systems and overrides.

    Cool idea, Styro...

My name is from my longest-running AD&D character from years ago (circa 1987, I believe).

Aldaron Stonewalker was a ranger who served as a scout in his nation's military during a great war. He spent much of his time leading raids with the dwarves of the Stone-Step Mountains (hence his name) and ended up something of a hero.

His name was based on an obscure being of power (one of the Valar, IIRC) from the Tolkien mythos: Aldaron, the Lord of Forests or somesuch - I thought it was appropriate for a ranger.

And no, it's not the planet destroyed by the Death Star in Star Wars!!!!
(You wouldn't believe how many times people tell me: "You mispelled 'Alderaan'").

Sorry Seargent . . . it's been so long since I've read the books and since I've seen the TV miniseries. Have you seen them Seargent? You really should if you haven't already . . . Reepicheep is potrayed VERY well as are the other characters.
