    Exclamation Site Moving (Again)

Well, the inevitable has happened – we’ve once again topped the bandwidth meter.

Effective immediately I am going to be seeking out a new host for TrekRPGNet. I have been fighting our current provider regarding bandwidth for sometime now (they only allow 12/15/20GB on their plans). The next upgrade will increase our monthly cost by a third for a miniscule increase in bandwidth (we’ll outgrow that too).

If you have any provider recommendations go ahead and send them to me. They need to be full-featured (ASP, SQL, and CGI) and allow at least 25GB of bandwidth, preferably more. Cost is somewhat a limiting factor, since this entire site is run out-of-pocket.

It’s safe to say you can expect some downtime when this happens, as well as “Not Found” errors when I move the domain.

    Exclamation

Likely within 24 hours. Unfortunately the downtime could be pretty severe as I’ll be out of town the next three days. Ah, the timing...

I'll bet www.startrek.com would love to put a banner up on our site.

    Just a thought,

Come on guys, we gave them the better deal on the country... Surely we cant let the Aussies beat us here AND at Cricket, Rugby, Drinking... (The list could easily go on. Cut for breveity)

Surely there is at least 1 other Brit as part of the 1000 club? Anybody?

    Objection!

I have no credit card nor do I want one.

I will not make any transatlantic transactions.
(Don't even want to think about the transaction fees of German banks...)
