Good point, TDK. Sad to say, much of Voyager and the 'temporal cold war' garbage of Enterprise more than counteract Braga's good stories.
I won't touch on the ham-fisted attempts at morality plays. I don't feel like being flamed.
to be fair to Brannon Braga, starting off some of his stuff was okay, as long as it wasn't refencing any previous histories.
However, Enterprise under his tutlage could be best described as :

A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.
Academician Prokhor Zakharov, "Now We Are Alone"
I don't remember the name of the episode, but there was a DS9 episode where O'Brien suddenly discovered he was attracted to Kira (who was returning the feeling). Apparently, taking care of the bearer of your child during pregnancy is a very effective love potion.
Most of the "Ferengi episodes" in DS9 also qualify, as well as any episode with Vic Fontaine (not because I did not like the character, but because of having to endure a whole song every time).
And most of TNG season 1, which I watched after having watched most of TNG and DS9, is some sort of big facepalm (and allowed me to at least understand why people hated Wesley).
"The main difference between Trekkies and Manchester United fans is that Trekkies never trashed a train carriage. So why are the Trekkies the social outcasts?"
Terry Pratchett
Oh yes -- Wesley "Baby God-Being" Crusher. (Pauses to be violently sick).
I've seen a couple of TNG Season 1's recently -- and wished I hadn't. They haven't dated well at all. The stories which feel like rehashed TOS reject scripts (what you mean, they were rehashed TOS reject scripts?) and the wobbly, fuzzy blue videotape effects shots brought it all back: why I spent most of 1987/1988 cursing Paramount.
Well, a few NG episodes were Star Trek II scripts (as was the plot of TMP). My two biggest complaints about Season 1 was how they were so happy about being able to talk about sex that they seemed to obsess about it (how many times did they say things like "It's just sex, Data."?) and the really bad and pointless CGI (shape shifting/color shifting blocks in the classroom, for example), that was I guess supposed to make it look all futuristic?

Not to mention the male personnel strolling around in go-go boots and 'skants' - skirt/pants - to show off their shaved legs. Makes me wonder how the hell the Klingons didn't die laughing whenever they hailed a Starfleet ship:
"I am Captain K'Val of the... What in Sto'Vo'Kor are you wearing?!?"
"This? Oh, it's my duty uniform."
