Sadly, another of my favorites has passed away a few days ago, aged 85.

The Dragonrider books were among the first 'fantasy' books I read as a child, being into hard SF (Asimov etc) and adventure at the time. I enjoyed the two main Pern trilogies, and I also enjoyed "To Ride Pegasus" and its sequels, plus the related "The Tower and the Hive" books as well (the emergence and development of telepathy in humans).
Condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Anne.
