    Star Trek Online Duty Officers

I think I've found a terrific story seed generator - the Duty Officer assignments on Star Trek: Online. There are dozens of potential adventures here, from relocating colonists to entertaining foreign dignitaries right through to investigating biogenic weapons and even officer evaluations (which would be a fun side-plot).

The ST:O Wiki has a listing (which will probably increase), and I'm fairly certain there'll be other types of assignments pop up as well (sector vs. shipboard, etc).

I'll keep an eye on it and post any updates that appear.

That should definitely be added - especially if you happen to be a Betazoid ship's Counsellor...

...or a Klingon security officer, or a genetically engineered station doctor...

Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing a pattern here?

...or an Android... ...or an EMH... ...or a first officer...

Hell, even Picard's mom showed up, and she was dead.

The Doctor (from VOY) had a parent show up? VOY is the only series I haven't watched through multiple times, so I'm not familiar with that one!

Well, in the sense that his programmer made several appearances on the show...

one of the missions is "Night on the Town" as a shore leave option.

This can't end well. Particularly if one of your officers is Horace Harkness

I've been known to steal adventure ideas from games: from SWTOR for Star Wars, City of Heroes for V&V/Champions, and fleshing out Hommlett more from the ToEE PC game.
