    Ncc-1776?

God bless America! (Nothing political intended here, I just happened to notice that my last post was #1775 and I felt like celebrating this post.)

So, does anybody know if starship NCC-1776 has ever been named? I think she ought to be a Constitution. I'm thinking USS America, or Philadelphia, or George Washington would all be appropriate.

Well, THE USS Constitution is NCC-1700...

Someone claimed it for the USS Liberty a fan fic.

Memory Beta shows two different Constitution-class cruisers with hull registry NCC-1776. I think USS Bonhomme Richard is from FASA.

My suggestion for the ship's plaque: "I owe allegiance to no crown!"

How about USS Independence, as in Declaration of ... (not bad for a Canuck)

The Bonhomme Richard actually appeared first in the Star Fleet Technical Manual.

Yup, good ol' NCC-1712 there. Used her as a story ship in a Play by Mail I played many years ago.
