    Got my private pilot license today.

    He was sentenced to four years in a labor camp, but was never sent there and was released less than a year later.

    He managed to avoid media celebrity- apparently due largely to the fact that the interviewers found him to be "psychologically unstable and unworldly in a dangerous manner".

    Since then, Rust has been in trouble with the law several times, and his mental state has apparently reached a point where he could pass for a U.S. Congressman.

    He nearly stabbed a female coworker to death after she spurned his advances, converted to Hinduism, and alternately describes himself as an "oddball", a "professional poker player" and as an "analyst" at a Zurich bank.

    Bottom line- he "isn't exactly workin' on all thrusters".
