History:
The Big Boy-Class Heavy Escort was a Descendent of the Miranda, Soyuz, Carlin and Russell, taking those older vessels, and melding aspects of them with some new, cerulean porcelain sculpture and Tacfleet developments, into a new design, more adapted to long-range patrols and assistence, as well as to receive upgrades, quickly and efficiently, making for a more loved and efficient vessel, named after a giant duplex American Steam Locomotive, and given large shuttle/fighter complements, making them further useful, in service against the IKS, the Tholians, even the Cardassians, finally the last 92 were retired in the 2350s-60s.
Noteworthy Vessels/Encounters: U.S.S Big Boy; - Prototype, fought back Tholian Emerald-Garnet Class Guided Missile Cruisers (2346), U.S.S Vendikar; - Captained by Thurnrimar, recovered two missing scout ships from the Tarmyst Nebula (2341), engaged Cusinok-Class Light Frigates endangering Federation Comm Relays (2357), U.S.S Ambrosia; - collided with Galor-Class Vurcouchak, destroying both ships, and saving Deep Space 6 (2354)
