Starship Power Restrictions in CODA?
Anyone out there come up with any rules around warp cores and available power in combat and hazard situations? I know FASA, and LUG had some mechanics around it but CODA just seems to assume that the warp drives and impulse engines just generate enough power under any and all circumstances unless the narrator wants to use it as a hook or complication. I personally think power management in combat gives the engineer something to do rather than wait for a critical hit.
Anyway I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were before I retreat into my mad scientists' lab to cook up tables of warp cores and home brew rules. And sorry if this has been asked and answered already.
