Proposed 'Strike Cruise' USS-Falcon
In Space Dock under the Cruiser section there is a proposed new class of cruiser designated the Strike Cruiser (using the 'CS' as the classification code), which is a Heavy Cruiser with the speed and maneuverability of a regular cruiser. Only one design has been forwarded, the Falcon-class. Using an enlarged, modified Akira-class space frame, going from size class 7 to 8, the USS-Falcon is basically a military version of the Heavy Explorer class. The Falcon was among the first vessels to integrate deploy-able ablative hull armour and transphasic torpedoes. Like the Akira the Falcons primary mission is defense and threat response, and with a secondary mission profile as a light carrier. They are equipped with enough secondary systems to allow them to be used in multiple roles and function as a true deep space tactical vessel.
These vessels are equipped with the largest warp cores ever to be installed in a Federation vessel (as of 2380) and were the first vessel to be equipped with Type XIII phaser arrays. The Falcon-class was designed from the outset to be among the fastest Federation vessels (and have proven to be faster than the Sovereign, Prometheus and Intrepid classes) commissioned as of the 2380's and efficiency is increased because of their variable geometry nacelles. The Falcon is capable of sustaining warp 9.9 for extended periods of time and was the first vessel to exceed the Federation warp speed maximum of warp 9.982.
Because of the success of Voyager's atmo/planetfall capability the Falcon-class has also been equipped with these capability, expanding the vessels versatility.

First-Run Advanced Propulsion Drive (APD-01) designed by the ASDB. This lighter, high-power core utilizes swirl technology instead of a reaction chamber. Additional improvements to Plasma Transfer Conduit technology makes the drive system energy efficient and allows for the variable warp geometry evinced by its maneuverable nacelles. Improved verterion coil manufacture allows for smaller nacelles producing superior warp fields. This is the same technology used in the Luna class, though on a larger scale.

command suite, situated in the 'control tower' <8>
Where the two pylons meet between the spars there's a large 'control tower' which oversees the return of the vessels shuttles and fighters (and has a dedicated command and control suite). This tower protects all incoming shuttles and fighters with both torpedo launchers and phaser arrays.
*AI Avatar program <8>
This new holographic program is the physical manifestation of the ships computer. The Avatar can also, if the need arises to act as an Emergency Command Program. The AI’s are the crew’s liaison with the ships computers and the sensor information that is processed by the AI’s analytical processors. This allows the AI to provide the crew with them most pertinent information that they need in real time.
The ships AI is inherently loyal to the ship’s captain and the crew above all (though with in Federation law). An AI has its own personality that is its own. Most of the AI chooses their own appearance and that could be whatever the AI decides it to be.

*two cores are mounted in the saucer, with the other mounted in the control tower. Primary core (one of the saucer cores) handles the day-today operation of the vessel, secondary saucer core is isolated from the ODN (though can be connected very quickly using a unique "breaker switch connection") and is the vessels 'emergency, protected core', the third core (control tower) is dedicated to tactical/engineering duties.

"I will never make excuses for who I am. It is the way I was born. I am a HUNTER. a BONE COLLECTOR."
Wave Man, the term "wave man" is the English translation of 'Ronin' (Japanese word) and literately translates to "wandering person" and in a modern context a WaveMan is one who is socially adrift or a SalaryMan who is between employers.
