    Power Allocation sheet

    Greetings all

    Happy new year

I am trying to design a Power Allocation Sheet for my mission ops character, i have tried to find one but couldn't find just one for spacedock
In order to just designing i wanted to be sure that there wasn't any one out there with some good ideas.

I was thinking of doing it in phases ( one page),

The information ( ship name, power output in green alert, yellow and red alert)
1st - Green alert - ofcause with out shields and weapon
    2nd - Yellow alert - with shields
3rd - Red alert - with both shields and weapons

But there is so much more to power allocation which is one of the reason why i wanted to play mission ops character

I thank you all for the time you have taken just to read this post

    SHinky

I don’t know if this helps

Green alert – warp power is running between 20 to 30 % of power unless there is more power needed.
Yellow Alert – warp power is running around 75 % power unless more is needed.
Red Alert – warp power is running at 100 % power or better with impulse engines adding power to what is needed. Warp cores have been run at 125 % in Voyager in at least one episode but with each 5% over difficulty increases by 2 in preventing a warp core breach.

Then there is Blue alert where power is reduced to the bare minimums such as life support, gravity, structural integrity, and sub-light speed no faster than .1c. This was shown during Voyager when they were low on deuterium and the ship was restricted to this low power systems. Basically Impulse engines only.

That is where my notes on fuel consumption comes in. See the posting http://forum.trek-rpg.net/showthread...highlight=Fuel and http://forum.trek-rpg.net/showthread...nd-Maintenance.

As for a sheet saying anything I don’t think there is one unless you make it yourself.

And a Happy New Years to you as well.

Here is an Example of what systems are running during Green alert. I am using one of my versions of the Galaxy-class as I usually use as an example in my generations of spacedock tech. I will do this for the rest of the alert levels as well.

Before I go too far Blue alert is for ships with landing capability and what I was thinking is Gray mode.

Note: the standard Galaxy Class is a whole under powered vessel in comparison to other ships of the line. If you use this with other ships of the same era you will see that there are some major draw backs to the ship. More systems can be shut down to make more poser allowances the Galaxy class should have a third impulse engine to provide just a little more power. This would be assuming that the ship is in fully fit condition.

Once again I made the mistake of blue alert and Gray mode being mixed up the names. Again Blue Alert is for ships that are landing.

Gray Mode - all systems that are not needed are shut down and minimal power is being used until fuel levels are replenished. Gray mode is triggered when the ships fuel stores are nearly depleted and if the ship is operating at normal power would drain what little deuterium that remains of the fuel is rationed to the bare necessities. I would say that it would be around 2 to 5 percent or remaining power. There is nothing like running out of gas a few trillion kilometers from a gas station. Most starships do not let their fuel levels drop below thirty percent of max.

Here is another example of the power use of the Constitution-class Heavy Cruiser showing it has more than enough power to engage in combat. This shows that this Enterprise has more power available than the Enterprise-D while in battle. I think that the Enterprise-D needs at least one more Impulse engine to make up for the lack of power. A galaxy-class should have enough fire to fire five phaser shots per round in combat. What do you think?
