Let's not turn this into a debate again please, but actually there are less French first speakers in Quebec than other languages, the natural French or Francophone population has grown very little in the past 30 years, but the Alophone (other languaes than English or French) has spiked and is responsible for the majority of Quebec's population groth. Needless to say the Anglophone (or English first speakers) population has been on a steady decline for the past 20 years or so.

And those are facts...not opinions...as to the importance that is up to the individual

I love Quebec, but I also love Canada, and I think we should all speak two or three languages and be united.

No the french people who doesn't have a english parent have to go to french school. The immigrant have to go to french school. And the english people can go to all school (french or english). That is a Law in Quebec. And i did'nt want want to make a debate.

Généralement - enfin je pense (I usually do - at last I think so).

Pure curiosity : what were the languages some of you used in your answers (I recognized Klingon, Romulan, and I think Jawa, but I'm at a loss for the others - I also recognized english and french )?

I agree otherwise that the better would be to know as many languages as possible.

I went through and labeled the languages I used. the Twi Lek and Rodian stuff might be Bocce, I'm not sure. My signature, of course, is "Tiberian".

    Cool

Well the trouble with Tiberian is that it loses a lot at writing, since it's hard to transcript the hand gestures

Of course, I'm not fluent in any of those languages, except maybe Tiberian...
