    Red face Frightening Warning

    This is just, well, frightening.

This thread, dated Aug 31st has someone alluding to an attack. On 9-4 the person says in 7 days he’ll be going away “and not coming back.”

The title of the thread is “911.”

    Google thread

I don’t know how much longer this will be publicly available.

That is provocative. Do the civil and military authorities know about this?

Yes, several people have reported this link to the FBI. I found it (the link) on a forum of a popular computer news site.

Well, it looks like the authorities know of it. Can't access it, looks like she is gone.

I'm not sure that link leads where it should. What I got is a thread that started at 7pm on the 11th, so contains no posts from the 4th (although it does almost quote one).

This thing gives me a shiver.

Personally, I don't want to believe about prophecies, despite that I am Christian. Funny, how AFTER THE FACT do prophecy seems so real and becomes so clear.

I think I found a link to the real message:

the URL won't link right, so cut and paste:
    http:// then, right after those slashes, put in: groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&as_drrb=b&as_mind=29&as_minm=3&as_min y=1995&as_maxd=10&as_maxm=9&as_maxy=2001&frame=rig ht&th=54ab4d241c34e0cc&seekm=3b8fd177%40monitor.la nset.com#lin k1
except there's no space between the "lin" and "k1".
I don't know why that link and the UBB don't get along.

    Folks,
I sure there are a lot of statments that have been spoken or posted in recent days that now look supicious. I doubt many of them actually mean anything. Looks like this guy has a history of posting cyptic threats. Eventually something was going to happen that coincided with one of his threats.

As someone wisely pointed out to me - "You think that it's spooky when you're thinking about someone and suddenly they call you. But you forget all the hundreds of times you thought about them and they didn't call."

With all these Prophecy-of-Doom types about, sooner or later something actually was going to happen.

The Nostradamus thing is scary though - but then practically every one of his prophecies is once you figure out what he meant. Can you imagine actually being that guy and seeing all this bad mojo going down?

    Unhappy

If I have this kind of power (apocalyptic visions), I'd be depressed. It's bad enough that I'm a practicing pessimist.

Of course, people will be suspicious of me for passing out these visions as warnings. They might think I am conspiring to these events.

BTW, why must prophecies be cryptic? I mean if you got a bad premonition, tell us in plain and simple words.

Actually, they may not be cryptic at all. Read the Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman novel "Good Omens". There is a Nostradamus-like prophetess detailed therein. Everything she saw comes true, but it's very difficult to understand her prophecies because she lived in the 16th Century and was having to interpret events in the 20th Century (which would include visions of high technology) using her own understanding.

    Thumbs up

Very good novel at that. Read it three times ... (twice in English and once in French) .

Maybe I should pick up that book ... for roleplaying purpose as well. I would like to see examples of someone from the past describes some of our modern invention.
