I spotted this image today while fooling around on the internet and thought that it was something to comment about. https://raf-mx.deviantart.com/art/En...-cam-279627874 It is an image of the Phase II, USS Enterprise of the TOS era second TV series potential. I thought that something was amiss with it until I noted that it had only what looks to be a single forward Photon Torpedo launcher. I will work up a version with the single launcher and post it as I think that it will work well as a variant of the Constitution class… or as a special class all its own with a few more modifications. That is the only difference I could see, so I guess it would really be same as spacedock version just without the second forward launcher.
I finally got around to do the change. The Phase II Enterprise is much the same as the Movie version but I made a few little tweaks here and there. There are fewer transporters and one smaller two man transporter on the bridge. I remember seeing a piece of art that showed the bridge with a transporter there. Only a single torpedo launcher and the phasers are equal to that of the Television version of the Enterprise had been. Even if you don't kicked the Phasers up to the those of the movie version and remaining as the way the ship is it is still a ship that is quite capable of fighting a good fight. I reduced the shields for no other reason than I can and for some reason it made sense to do so.
There is a 244 difference in the SU’s between the movie version and the Phase Two, yet the Phase two is a heartier ship in comparison to the TV version before it by 265 SU’s this version is about halfway between the two versions. I feel that this ship could easily be apart of the fleet as another version of the refitted Constitution class star ships.
