I don't ever connect directly to the discussion boards (mostly because I'm waiting for the announcement of the next Spacedock Expansion's release).

While we're asking about minor problems...

Is it just my connection, or has anyone else noticed that the new Forums can be incredibly slow when connecting through a dial-up connection? I kid you not, it took close to 2 minutes through my 56k link the other night for the forums to simply process my logout request...and it was the only site I noticed any speed issues with that night...

they work just fine through my notoriously slow dial-up.
I have a 56k modem, and Earthlink says the guys on the other end of the phone do, too, but the software invariably says my connection speed is "115,200bps", which I think is impossable (IIRC, 56k is 56kbps, or 56,000bps, which is the max a standard phone line can handle. (In fact the max is around 48kbps).

anyway, stuff always loads slow, but most boards and threads load in under a minute.
