new and improved Ambassador class Starship

I was looking at the Ambassador thinking that it was under armed with phasers. The Ambassador is the step between the Excelsior and the Galaxy class. As it was with the Standard Spacedock version of the Excelsior was far more dangerous in a fight than the Ambassador would be. I made changes to the ship that make it more of a fighting machine and the step between that it should be.

I know that someone is going to bring up that the Phaser strip weapons system was new and that but no sane group would field a weapon where that it would make a single shot against the enemy. Three shot makes more sense to the design and gives the ship teeth in a fight. In a fight the ship can not hold up against a ship of equal strength with one shot as most everyone has two or three shots. To this I also gave the ship better shields and a little more power to power the ship.

To add more power I gave it a second impulse engine like the Constitution class has and it looks good that way as it is a direct descendant to that of the Constitution look alike.

I can't tell you as I cannot find my notes on why I did what to what. I picture it looking like the artist rendition of the Ambassador sleeker looking more like the Galaxy than the Constitution class.
