    I finally watched the last episode of Picard, like Discovery I am not a fan of either, but I thought that the ship could be done. I thought that the battle fleets of the Romulans and Federation would have been a blood bath between the two of them making the battles of the Dominion War look like nothing. Two powerful fleets capable of great devastation.

    I poked around and looked at several postings that the ship and came up with a name and class whether they are correct I cannot know. I used the name and class to make a ship that can be used in place until better stats can be posted.

    I estimated that the ship is fifty percent larger than the Galaxy class and made the ship faster and more powerful than the Galaxy-class. The only difference in the ship on the screen and the one I generated is I am not sure whether they have a single phaser array around the saucer (Galaxy-class style) or one on either side of the saucer (Intrepid-class style). The secondary hull and the main hull are attached and cannot be separated.

    mate please don't take this as a criticism, but that write-up isn't living up to the quote "I'm on the bridge of the toughest, fastest, most powerful ship Starfleet ever put into service."

    3 type 12 phaser arrays and 2 torpedo tubes (10 spread) and 300 torpedoes.

    in comparison a Sovereign-class has 16 type 12 phaser arrays and 4 torpedo tubes (12 spread) and 300 torpedoes. Plus the Sovereign-Class is exactly the same speed rating as your write up, and both the the Intrepid-Class (9.975 top speed) and Prometheus (9.982 top speed) are faster

    Plus no ablative armour, no metaphasic shields or regenerative shields (to improve 'toughness')

    I know it is a little wimpy but it works as a first step till we see better data on the ship.

    My second try.

    I was poking around Bravo Fleet web site looking at ships that I could tweak and found the specs… well a set of specs for the Inquiry-class from Star Trek Picard. I do not know how close these are to what is actual, however I thought that they look interesting enough to play around with. Though this is a size seven starship it has the fire power and defensive ability for a starship larger than itself. The only problem is with size seven ships the SU’s are inadequate to the needs of the starship so once I was through making it up, I had to whittle away here and there to make it fit. Basically, I had to loos the ablative armor and reduce here and there to make it drop a few hundred SU’s of excess weight. Even though I have trimmed out a lot it is still a mean machine maybe not as bad as Captain Will Riker boasted it was, nevertheless, it is still mean.

    One thing that I did not install into this ship is the separation system for the saucer as far as I can see there is no separation capability. There should be a heavy line showing a separation between the two. Even without this it is still like that of the Intrepid class as it did not have a separation system and resembles the Intrepid in some way. So, when I was laying out the weapons emplacement, I followed the Intrepid to a point and then winged the rest to other ships similar.

    The ship is better looking than my first try at the creation with just looking at the ship on the screen and making educated guesses here and there at the tech. this is far from being an explorer like the Galaxy class but can be utilized for science missions, as well as diplomatic envoy and still maintaining a combat starship. I guess after the Dominion War and the multiple encounters with the Borg the Federation wants to be prepared like any good Boy Scout.
