All good things Enterprise D Saucer seperation version
Like the other versions that I have posted of the Enterprise in separation mode I thought that the Future version of the Enterprise-D should be done and so I did generate it up. The only question I have is with the underslung phaser Cannon attached to the saucer and stardrive section is it still capable of separation but there are structural lines that look like that they might be part of a separation system on the drawing that I have seen.
Either way I think that this was a neat little project that works with the ship design. In this version each section of the ship is set so the other section can go off and do other things while one section remains elsewhere and caries on a mission or if one section as in Star Trek Generations is destroyed the other section is there and it shows as a ready to go starship version just missing details of the other half. To make this design version work I had to generate them as individual ships of their own but working in a symbiosis when in their connected version. Even in the standard version of the Galaxy Class it is the same and can get the job done that it was devised for.
The only problem I have is with the saucer having its own warp drive it is now an overpowered starship design and can kick nearly everyone’s butt in a fight. Someday I will teak it, so it is not so overpowered and dangerous in a fight. For now, it sits in the storage drive as it appears here with the only difference it has my impulse engine tweaks.
I don’t know as I write this whether or not I have posted the Constitution class’s saucer separation version, however I will look around and see if I have and will post the original series version for everyone to see. The only problem with that version it does not reconnect outside of a construction and repair yard which is a shame as the original series Enterprise is still one of my favorite ships.
Up first is the saucer as that seams to be the place to start.

Combined the Galaxy X Class starship is a powerhouse of a warship that would have come in handy during the Dominion War with enough fire power to stand back and pick off Cardassian and Dominion warships. Even if it got into the mists of the fray, it still had the firepower to take down anther with the weapons that it had been given.

What do you think? Do you want to see more of these separation version? I have made others that I could post if there is someone that wants to see them.
Here are the links to the other separation versions that I have already posted.
I really want to know what people think of these versions as I have the Constitution class and John Eves B class sitting in storage. We used the Eves B Class for a couple of adventures and in this mode it worked well.
