History: A latter product of the Perimeter Design Directive (PDD), developed at Antares Fleet Yards, the Algehar-Class, named for a Red Star located 600 lys from Earth home to six planets; - one Gothos-like Sulphur-Atmosphere planet, two Class D Planetoids, the second with two moons, a Class L Planet home to extensive plant life, some of it like on the Phylosian Homeworld, a Class M Planet 1.3 times the size of Earth, with four moons, and a Class J Gas Giant with 70 moons, the name, Algehar, translating to “Noisy” from Arabic. The Algehar has a dorsal bulge with the Navigational Deflecter in the front, and a Bridge on the underside of the saucer, with decent sensors, especially lateral sensors, and a high-speed Vwarp Drive capable of maintaining Warp 9.92, or about Warp 15 on the old scale, for 18 hours, which was steadily maintained at least five times in trials. The Algehar-Class is built at Antares Fleet Yards, Donmasto and Protostar at a combined rate of 6 per year.
