Does anyone here have experience with tenant screening? Has it been a simple procedure? What other programs would you use to get a tenant to apply and do their own credit/background check? Has anyone used the RentPrep screening?
Tenant screening is a good way to be sure that your tenants are trustworthy. It’s not a difficult process. Usually landlords make an account with the service and then give tenants a link to the service's website. Then, tenants fill out an application and give the service permission to do a transunion rental screening and a criminal background check. After that, landlords can see the tenant's screening report. RentPrep is one of the most popular services, being followed by SmartMove and MyRental.
