History-
The Alaric-Class began as a Project at 40 Eridani A Fleet Yards in 2368, which would be more compact and automated,
much like the other Perimeter Design Directive (PDD) Ships, and would be easily adaptable to various 4th Generation
X-Technology Developments.
The Prototype, U.S.S Alaric, NCC-77831, was launched on August 31st, 2380, and production begun at a rate of
3 per year, finally ending on November 26th, 2405 with the launch of the U.S.S Gaiamando.
The most important battle the Class was in, despite the Class being launched well after the Dominion and
Borg Wars, was the Battle of Navassa, on February 27th, 2388, when Twenty-Three Romulan Colonies were cut off from
the Capital, and an IKS Raiding Party, composed of the I.K.S.V Bloodletter of Korshan (L-24), Two D-18s (I.K.S.V Korlara
and I.K.S.V Kumusion), and Six A-2As attacked Navassa V, stealing some goods and killing over a hundred people
when the Twenty-Seventh Fleet, among them three Alaric-Class DDs, arrived at Navassa V, destroying all but the
Bloodletter of Korshan and Korlara.
