History-
A Destroyer deliberately based on the Lenthal and Thufir Classes, and designed at Memory Alpha and Protostar Shipyard by the ASDB and Protostar, The First Three were launched on May 20th, 2370, and were immediately assigned as a Squadron to the Area near Klingon and Romulan Space and the Triangle, and since then, 3 per year have been produced at Protostar, and used as 3-ship Squadrons. The Class gets it's name from a Black Belt in Karate from Earth's 21st Century (Yes, really). The Class is meant to be highly Durable, and has bare, gunmetal-grey Durasteel Corridors and Crew Quarters with minimal furnishing,s, much like the later Eximius-Class Battlecruiser/Tactical Cruiser, and is highly affected by the Perimeter Design Directive, although it isn't formally connected to that Initiative.
