I was reading about escape pods and Steve mentioned that just because there are enough escape pods, there is no guarantee everyone will make it there on time. He even mentioned that the narrator might call for an Athletics test.
LOL! I love it! It's just another reason for your crew not to blow off PT!
Hey, maybe the narrator could also require an Unarmed Combat, Energy Weapon, or Primitive Weapon test as well!
'Evasive manuever delta 6,' you said! Nice one skipper! If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me!"
Heh heh... just wait'll you see the routine maintenance rules I'm writing up for Don's VOYAGER core rulebook, which I'll soon enough adapt into SPACEDOCK....
While on the subject of escape pods, under the description it says escape pods support 86 people, but I am sure that while I was skimming though it somewhere that they fit only 6. Which is correct?
Also, and i know you may know this already, but the contents page is wrong. As an example, the aforementioned escaped pod is listed as page 32 but is actually on pg 37.
All the same, excellent work Steve, Don, and anyone else that should be mentioned. <grin>

I just counted the escape pod hatches on an Intrepid-class starship. 40. At 4 persons per SRV, that's 120 people. Gee, wee seem to be about 30 people short... Never mind that our Intrepid variant carries Marines...
If you increase the capacity of the escape pod by one, it becomes capable of supporting 160 people. That would be enought, wouldn't it?

My Intrepid writeup, coming soon in the SRM (and reviewed by Don, no less) has 140 escape pods carrying 8 people each. The 8 people is from quasi-canon sources, at least; the 140 I made up, pretty much.
