Just wanted to let y'all in on the word from Don "the Man" Mappin:
As of earlier today, nearly 1,000 people have downloaded SPACEDOCK!
So, it looks like quite a readership is building up.

Wow! That's 12,000 grape sodas you're owed!
Anom
Cool. But none of those cheap Cardassian grape sodas, OK? I want the real thing, straight from Earth or a Federation replicator.

Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...
Not really -- TrekRPGNet put out a press release on the availability of Spacedock. GO is simply the first site to post the news so far.Originally posted by REG:

Cool.
I may have to be two of those people, though... I tried downloading the thing at work, but apparently there's something in the security system that won't let me open/print it.
The good news is that I can download it at home.
The poopy news is that at home I have a far lower-quality printer.
Rats.
Still, I am pleased as purple panda punch to see Spacedock finally a reality. Next time I'm out CA way, drinks are on me!

How does 1000 copies of Spacedock compare to sales of LUGTrek supplements?
Just curious.

"Calm may work for Locutus of Borg here, but I'm freaked and intend to stay that way."
It's significantly less than the sales of a typical supplement overall. I'm not sure how it stacks up to sales of a given supplement in the first week of release, though. On that basis, I expect it's about even, maybe even a little ahead in some ways (given that there are no "distribution irregularities").

Tosses Steve a Grape Sluggo Cola (ewww)...
I can read it now! Looks great! Thanks for all the hard work and I love the examples...
As a follow-up to my answer to Greg's question, I should note that when I told Christian Moore yesterday about the number of downloads, he was impressed. So, I take that as a good sign.
Grape Sluggo Cola? Ewww... is that the sort of thing they're selling in Hawaii these days?
Glad you can finally read it, though. And if you like the examples now, check out the example ships under the Hokule'a-class Scout when the SRM comes out.

Well, it's about time! I have been wondering when is this little ship going to show up.
And for the record, I have absolutely no idea what is Grape Sluggo soda nor where it is being sold in Hawaii.

Cool! Thanks for the tip Steve... and we don't have Grape Sluggo here, though I have proposed to the Sluggo Co. some Sluggo Poi...Grape Sluggo Cola? Ewww... is that the sort of thing they're selling in Hawaii these days?

Hmmm... Romulan ale, maybe. But I think I'd rather have the root beer than bloodwine.Originally posted by Howlin' Mad Mark:
