Description and Notes
The standard patrol and interdiction vessel of the Gorn Commonwealth, these vessels are a common sight along their borders. Physically, these vessels are arranged around a double saucer and center hull scheme. In general, the aft saucer contains the engineering section and warp nacelle pylons. The forward hull contains the command module and crew quartering. The center hull contains auxiliary systems and shuttle bays.
These ships display a few traits common to most Gorn naval architecture. Despite the relatively high level of technology Gorn ships display, their electronics are somewhat inferior to Federation norms. While their sensor suites and communications packages are about as sensitive as the typical federation package, they are decidedly less robust.
Gorn ships also tend to be somewhat less maneuverable than those of many other species. It is unclear as to whether the clumsiness of these vessels is due to design or doctrine. This tendency is noted by the placement and types of their phaser arrays. From virtually any angle, 67% of the vessel’s beam weapon firepower is available.
Favored by the Gorn for heavy weaponry is the Type R plasma torpedo. This weapon system is functionally identical to the Romulan weapon system of the same type. The Gorn mount all four tubes facing forward on the vessel’s "wings", and carry the plasma torpedo exclusively.

I tried to model this design on the Gorn Battlecruiser from SFB, with a few additions of my own. Hopefully I came close.
