I would like to submit my vote for the Klingons.

I was curious is there anything in the works to discuss the S'ona? I have had some discussions about it.

So, it'll have things like the Amsterdam, Andoria, Copernicus, Fermi, Frontier, Osaka, Shir'Kahr, and Vigilant classes.

If I can think of anything else worthwhile to put in it, I will. Maybe some species-specific ships, like the ones in Among The Clans, for example -- though that subject might merit a book of its own. Who knows what I might think of, or one of you will suggest to me?

Perhaps some dedicated Federation Merchant Marine ships? They could go in SRM: Miscellaneous, I suppose, as could a selection of Federation member species' designs, but SRM: Miscellaneous is already sounding a little full.

Or a small selection of ships built or modified for Starfleet Intelligence operations, perhaps?

How about SRM: Shuttlecraft and Escape Pods? No, now I'm just getting silly.

    No really, Kazon.

Actually, a TOS book would be excellent with some focus on the hidden years between TOS and TNG. I guess this is pretty well covered in the current SRM - but I would really like TOS.

Well, ok... just to be different I vote:

    Go away! )

But first please do all the stuff you mentioned, and everything else you will ever think of...

Starting with DWC, if you don't mind terribly.

Ummm... I didn't see that go by the first time... More Andorian ships? Heck, I'll _help_ on that one!

Probably not enough material for a source book, eh? How about an ADF/ Am Tal sourcebook with Andorian ships in the back?

Well, I don't know about the Son'a in general, but I certainly hope to cover their ships somewhere along the line, probably in SRM: Miscellaneous.

Actually, I probably mis-spoke where SRM: Miscellaneous is concerned. I'd forgotten that I'd decided to do a SRM: Civilian that would cover merchant, pirate, and some other such vessels. That frees SRM: Miscellaneous up to focus mainly on miscellaneous species and so on.

Fed Merchant Marine ships would probably work well in SRM: Starfleet 2, or SRM: Civilian. I'm sure I can throw in one or two somewhere along the line.

I definitely plan to do TOS-era versions of ships like the Oberth and Miranda; in fact, I've already got the basic system writeups to base 'em off of. However, I'm not going to do writeups of any of those old Franz Joseph ships, like the "Saladin" class, since I don't want to trod on anyone's toes intellectual property-wise. I'd just as soon make up my own ships anyways.

Well, folx, as of 01/02/01 at 7:26 AM EST, here's where the vote stands:

    Klingons: 19
    Romulans: 7
    TOS: 23
    Kellinan Reach: 5
    DWC: 4
    Other: 1 (Security Handbook)

The vote remains close between Klingons and TOS, but TOS has maintained its lead over the past day.
