Phasers on Stun...

Steve. I was watching the TOS episode 'A piece of the action' the other day, and then Kirk made the order for the Enterprise to fire Phasers on the planets surface on Stun...

Is this ever going to be covered in Spacedock or the TOS SRM, or should we just assume its a writers abberation designed to give players way more power than a narrator wants them to have?

Actually, setting the ship's phasers on stun is covered in Spacedock. Read the "Planetary Bombardment" sidebar.

In general, though, I daresay it was pretty much a one-time writers' abberation.
