I was just hinking, while it is great that all these player created ships are going up everywhere, all those stats just don't add up to a visual for me. I loved the Reliant for the way it looked, long before I knoew how many Torpedoes she had.
Now we have all seen the same three view black and white schematics on the web (ala old FASA-Trek) but I was wondering if there were any 3D artists out there who would be willing to donate their time to helping create visuals of these ships that we could maybe collect in a PDF or on a webpage?
Just curious. I unfortuantely have no artistic skil, but would be willing to help with web-hosting or layouts ona PDF (Used to do DTP Catalogues to pay rent while in school).
I have been making spacedock stats and 3d renderings of the old FASA designs.
I will be pretty busy for the next month or so, so it may be a while before I can crank out another, but check out my Northampton and the preliminary stats. Also have prelim Chandly stats.
The guys over at SCIFI-ART.com might be able to help you.
Heck they may already have the pictures you want already!
People who like scifi vessels should go have a look see you won't be dissapointed...
remember to look in the forum section
you may be able to get cool color pictures for your printed ship recognition manuals if you ask nice...

Wow, I just had a look ... great! Did you just look at the USS Pioneer ... it's so awesome, so sleek! Errm ... shipyard chief engineer Swampy, any stats for this beauty?
I must say, most ships modelled there are really good! The only problem is that I can't seem to get netscape to display those pages .
