Does anyone know of a Romulan dictionary, or name list on the net?

Looking at my Klingon Dictionary I feel somewhat cheated that they got so much while most of the other species didn't get anything about them, the only other I can think of is a pamphlet size book 'The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition'.

On the other hand we Romulans can be as sneaky and devious as we want.

<begin Romulan taunt> We understand on Terra pilots used to paint symbols on their aircraft to represent enemies destroyed, what would you like us to paint for you?<end Romulan taunt>

Of course if the Romulans get their clocks cleaned ignore the above taunt.

    Question

Romulan dictionary? I'd like that too. It seems very interesting. If I'd have to pray for my life, and do it using romulan native tongue, perhaps they could be more... let's say... flexible... hehehehehe...

BTW, I need the exact date we'll start our game and the time we'll have to post our actions. If we're all in starship_battles, I think this information could be posted there.

Okay! It looks like we're getting down to it. Let's see if I can reply to some of the above.
First off: Congratulations to Starfleet on the defeat of the Borg Cube! Longcutus did a pretty good job of opening up new command slots in Starfleet, but in the end right, might, and dare I say- Justice, prevailed.

Let's see what we have on our current lineup.

Pesterfield- Commander of the D'Deridex class Warbird out on its own exploring a class M world on the outskirts of the Star Empire. Commander, you have an extremely mean ship! To help you out, we're going to allow you to carry two (2) Theta class Couriers. The rest of your auxiliaries are shuttles and shuttlepods and (as far as we're concerned) will have no impact on the game.

Sub-Commander Sevekk, I am happy to grant you command of at least one of the Theta's. You might end up in command of both, but perhaps someone else will volunteer. At the beginning of the scenario, your vessel is snug in its bay (as is the other Theta).

Captain Dhorkan, you have command of the USS Vanguard, Akira class Heavy Cruiser. You are heavily outmatched in size, power, and weaponry, but you do have the advantages of having onboard 12 Starfleet Attack Fighters, the USS Colorado (Danube class), and the USS Osprey (Talon class, currently deployed on long range scout into the system you are approaching. You also have a bunch of other shuttles and shuttlepods, but they won't come into play in this scenario.

Lt. Commander JALU3 is Chief of Flight Operations onboard USS Vanguard and leader of the 442nd AFS Wolfpack Squadron (I give up this much). Your fighters are currently in their revetments except for the three ready alert birds waiting on the pads in the forward shuttlebay. Since you're entering an unknown system, pilots are in the ready room, in case they are needed.

Lt. Roxe is flight leader for six of the Starfleet Attack Fighters. Roxe is also one of the fighterjocks lounging in the ready room as the scenario begins (LtCmdr JALU3 is on the bridge at Conn).

That is the current list. We have openings for another Romulan Theta commander, the USS Osprey's commander, and the USS Colorado's commander.

I think that's all I want to try to handle at this time. I'm not Longcutus after all

I will be signing on at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/starship_battles shortly and begging Dan for assistance at moderating this event.

I appreciate everyone's patience and I hope we'll have a good time trying this out. It should be very, very interesting.

Welcome aboard Lt. Smith! You are in command of USS Colorado, a Danube class Runabout. Your vessel is currently onboard USS Vanguard in the aft hangar bay (the so-called recovery deck). You personally are up on deck 5, playing poker, when the scenario begins. The USS Colorado is currently fitted with a Torpedo Module (see SRM1). Thanks for volunteering.

    CMDR Powers . . .

Is it possible that you can dedicate one of the Mission Specialist positions for me? I mean I'll have to coordinate the movement of the Air Wing, I would think it only fair that the USS Vanguard gets its own dedicated Conn . . . I mean to fly the USS Vanguard, AND coordinate, isn't that a bit much for one person? Furthermore, wouldn't that require me to do a multi task roll?

Thank you for the succession, I greatly appretiate it.

    I found a Romulan dictionary: http://members.tripod.com/~Mandukar/Mirek.html

A phrase the Starfleeters should learn: rhanne legare = I surrender
http://w3.restena.lu/ltc/Eleves/STNGCCG/Romulan.html is another smaller dictionary site, but it also has some phrases. Including how to call someone a son of a b****

First off, welcome aboard Cmdr Bartak. You are granted command of the USS Osprey, Talon class Scout. The Osprey is currently in orbit over an unexplored M class world. You're starting to get some strange sensor readings (are there any other kind?) and your science officer reports another starship just coming over the orbital horizon. A big one!

JALU3- Your character looks pretty good! Glad to have LtCmdr Lipumano aboard! You don't normally Conn the Vanguard anymore than any other line officer in Flight Ops, you just happen to be there at the beginning of this little 'fracas'. You keep your hand in much the same as Sulu does about E-A. Your real job is 'CAG' and Commander of the 442nd.
Very Star Trek, don't you know?

Federation players- prepare to receive a forward concerning your hardware shortly.

Everybody. I reserve the right to determine your weapon loads on all ships. This will be forthcoming shortly.

Still open- Command of the second Theta (though Sevekk is welcome to command both if necessary/desired).
