Bravo Starfleet!
Congrats.
To bad Longcutus, but you whacked a good number of them.
Nice simulation.

I do believe Wolfe speaks for us all.
Thank you and may we have the opportunity at some point in the future to play together again.
Regards,
CKV.
So, does this mean Riker is the new captain of the Enterprise-D?

Homer "Here are your messages, Mr. Burns."<reads> "'You have one hour to move your car.' 'You have ten minutes to move your car.' 'Your car has been impounded.' 'Your car has been crushed into a cube.' 'You have one hour to move your cube.'" <phone rings, Homer answers> "Hello, Mr. Burns' office?"
Mr. Burns "Is it about my cube?"
Dunno about Riker and the E-D, but what are we gonna do about Deep Space Nine? I didn't see anything about Saratoga ejecting her first officer before she went firecracker!
You know, for a while there I was actually thinking she might survive the battle...

Actually the Capt. of the Saratoga did make a post about sending the first officer off in an escape pod "Because he had a destiny"Originally posted by Aldaron:

It was a cute little dig.
That whole thing was a very well fought battle, (brief) but well fought!
And I always felt the ships being destroyed during Wolf 359 on screen (DS9) or in First Contact went to quick, I mean the Cube would fire at a ship the ship would be crippled or blow up, and repeat this 39 more times! but now I feel that is at least somewhat acurate... next time (if there is a next time) you should definitly beef up the Borg Cube!

it's pretty obvious that the Borg never played "Risk" as a little collective.
*shucks* That was me...Originally posted by Sevekk:

That was actually my interest in the simulation in the first place... To see if the Starfleet ships and Borg cubes really tallyed with what we had seen on screen...Originally posted by 6Lore9:

I recently ran (albeit far more cinematic than rules based) space combat between a Galaxy class and Raider vessels (the Maquis Raider type), and it went reasonably well, but the raiders lasted a hell of a lot longer against a Galaxy glass than most of these capital ships did against the cube...

Do you think that was because of the variation of the rules you used or 'cause the rules for the raider ships makes them maybe more tough than they should be, in my mind (not that you asked) the raiders should be one shot one kill for a Galaxy class starship! tell me if I'm wrong![]()

Well I think it was mostly the variation for the cinematic, but the craft when they were hit tended to go down VERY quickly...
A couple of phaser blasts would take out shields and drop the crafts SU by half...
Kudos to the players for trying to NOT destroy the craft but disable it, even if it meant the weapons went unfired when the craft became a sitting duck... Even after the multiple Photon torpedo spread (I forget how many it was now) that though various actions ended with only a single torpedo strikiing the shields and doing almost nothing at all...
