Has anyone posted converted stats on the Taurhai Star Dragon? Steve?
Also, are there any web resources on the Taurhai in general?

I think they're justin the Romulan box set, Marxx. I didn't much care for their visual of the Taurhai...think I'm gonna make a meaner, leaner Taurhai for my camapign.
The sort of thing you see once & have nightmares about forever...
Like Roseanne Barr in a bathing suit.

I have my fingers crossed that Steve will tackle this in SRM:Miscellaneous. I lack the drive to try to come up with Spacedock rules for all of that gravitic-based Taurhai technology.
It's not going to have to wait for SRM: Miscellaneous -- much as the Cardie SRM contains some ships of related species, the SRM: Romulans will have Taurhai rules and a ship (or maybe two). I've already got draft rules for Taurhai gravity induction drives, tractor beams, and transporters. I may come up with more Taurhai-specific rules as I refine things and actually design some ships.

I've heard of Tuarhai only in this forum,
and I don't own the Romulan box set, so can anyone tell me a little about them?

I was attempting this a while back, but didn't get too far. They'd have pretty damn powerful disruptors (enough to do 300 damage) and the subspace funnel drive I was going to represent with a coaxial warp drive (the descriptions of the two match almost perfectly). I figure they'd have subspace transporters too. The Star Dragon in Way of D'era doesn't have torpedoes, but I was going to give them gravimetric torps (more powerful than Fed ones, though).
If I get some time free I'll finish up the stats and post them!

I bet it comes right in the middle of my re-read of Lord of the Rings... Or will your re-read of the same book delay it?

Dan.
"A couple of thoughts from a random mind!"
Great! It had occurred to me to make that suggestion, but I figured SRM: Romulans was probably already far enough along that you wouldn't want to make any major changes. I'll just chalk this up to "great minds think alike" (it's so much more flattering than "two idiots never have an original thought between them").<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Steve Long:

This is all roughly similar to my own thinking, though I created new stats for the engines and some other stuff.<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">I was attempting this a while back, but didn't get too far. Well, having a full-time job again will probably delay at, as will SRM: TOS Era work and whatever else happens to rear its ugly head. But I hope to start working on some ships soon.<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">I bet it comes right in the middle of my re-read of Lord of the Rings... Y'know what's cool about working for Decipher? I'm getting paid to re-read Tolkien....
