    Yeah but critical parts in torps and shuttles just can't be replicated, or shouldn't be
    Maybe Voyager is actually a spare parts transport in disguise

    complex componets cannot be replicated, but if you replicate the simple component and put them together to make a complex one. You cant replicate a warp engine, but you can the parts and build it piece by piece. sigh, poor little ensign, do you think they chain him to the replicator

    I think the main problem with replicating Quantum/Photon Torpedos is replicating antimatter what isnt possible. Otherwise Starships would have endless power source and there wouldnt be need for Bussard Collectors.
    So you can replicate a photon torpedo without warhead whats pretty useless...

    It is possible to replicate the components. The anti matter is taken from the anti matter pods. They use very little actual anti matter. I think they use something like plasma as a medium.

    That would be a way...
    But doing this would result in trading range for armament. And constructing a Matter/Antimatter warhead on a starship is a dangerous thing... (My players should not roll a fatal miss or it may become true word by word :P )

    That would be very degrading and somewhat beneath his station for an Ensign.
    Perhaps an Ensign in charge of 4 crewman?

    As for shuttle bay size that remains to be seen until you see what class your working with.
    Even the smaller ships should have atleast 2-3 shuttles(pods) ala. Defiant
    Size:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
    shuttles(pods):0,1,3,6,10,15,21,28,36,45

    Seems a good average for fed vessels!

    Actually, antimatter, perhaps cannot be replicated but it can be *made*. by use of the quantum charge reversal device. It is terribly inefficent and generally used for emergencies, but it can be done.

    I would think that at a torp manufacturing plant that would just siphon off antimatter from a permanent warp engine for power.
