I'd like some Spacedock rules for this system if there are any, or some suggestions if no system is available. It seems like a possibility for a something in the ToS SRM I suppose.

As a side topic of discussion, is it possible that WSDF technology was ruled to fall under the "No Cloaks for the Federation" clause of the Treaty with the Romulans, and that is why it wasn't included for use in the TNG (mainly) era Spacedock book?

Well, it wasn't included because for the most part I was trying to limit myself to "canonical" tech and such. I didn't include any of the made-up ship tech from RRR, either. All that's going to have to wait for another book somewheres.

It wouldn't fall under the treaty against cloaking devices. It doesn't actually hide the fact that a ship has weapon capability, it makes the weapons signature seem to be something else (ie a drilling phaser or tractor beam). Most in Starfleet feel that it is simply underhanded to use it, and we all know Starfleet would never do anything underhanded. Don't we.

Well, looking at Spacedock's latest add-ons for phasers (Pulse Cannon & ACB)we see a +3 and a +5 to the SU's respectively, and a power of +5 per weapon as well. Looking at the description in Among The Clans, we get an idea of the power used. Off-the-cuff, I'd say 5 Su's per weapon hidden, and 40xSize Class power/round to activate. That sound workable to y'all? (Or we could just threaten S. John with improperly prepared biscuits until he tells us the stats he worked out for the WSDF...)
