    Post SRM: Other Races?

Been reading some of FASA stuff recently and was wondering.

Any plans to do a SRM on some of the minor races in Trekdom, aka Gorn, Tholoans, etc. Not the one-shotters (well okay the forementioned were one-shotters) but the enduring races that jut aren't the cardassian size

One of the books I theoretically have on the drawing board is the SRM: Miscellaneous, which will cover species of that sort and some other bits and pieces.

No idea when I'll get to it, though. Still got the SRM: TOS Era and SRM: Romulans to finish, at the very least. The TOS era book does have one Gorn and one Tholian ship, though.

Well, the Romulans book is about halfway done. I work on it from time to time, as interest strikes me and schedule allows.

The trick at this point is getting the books already written laid out. I've only had one volunteer to take on the Cardies book, leaving the Klingons sitting in limbo. As long as books remain un-laid out, they can't be released, even if they're done. So even if I finished the Rommies today, it's likely to be a loooong time before you see it, even if no other factors arise.

This is probably a silly thing for me to ask, but what does it take (application & skill wise) to lay out a book? If I could help with a book, I would.

If you're seriously interested, check out the "Layout Help Needed" thread that's currently active. It covers the basics.

The status is, someone is working on laying it out right now. When it's done, and when personal and professional circumstances allow, I'll pass it along to Don for posting here on TrekRPG.Net.

I'm not sure about the link; it was a message thread right here in the "Spacedock" section of the boards, posted within the last month or so. Searching back far enough through the threads should turn it up right quick.

At this point, I have two great guys -- Andreas Bodensohn and Chris Huth -- helping with the layout of the existing ready-for-layout books, so no further help is needed now. But there may be a need for help in the future, so g'head and track down the thread if you're still interested.
