Believe me, there's alot going on that you aren't aware of. Just be patient. And maybe you might get to meet up with us.

    My dear friend Sigimus,
Don't count your eggs before they hatch. And don't underestimate the strenth of an injured dragon. For time will tell how this will develop, and hopefully your blood will not be spilled upon my hands, as I am not looking to spill blood today. But know this, dear friend, you strike, you die.

Would you please be so kind as to explain to us what you mean when you talk about "just a little combat".

Right now all of us on the Vanguard see this game as a roleplaying game and not as a rematch of some combat sim. I'd say we could accept it if a combat between us and Commander Sigimus developed out of a roleplaying context, but we would be a little disappointed if some Warbird just decloaked behind us and opened fire.

    Hey, I am cool!

I just wanted to emphasize that we can make use of more than just the Spacedock rules in this game.

And who knows, maybe some more people will be interested in joining our merry men, once they realize this isn't just a combat sim with a roleplaying prelude.

Hey the decloaking behind ya was just a jibe

My prioities are crew, tech, combat etc. in no particular order.

    I'll roleplay:

'Cmd Sigimus, sensors show a Federation Akira class vessel in system.'

'Decloak and destroy them', spoke the Cmd.

    See I just roleplayed

OTOH We may need to join together to combat the nastiness on the moon?

    ????

    My-my a Borg proof planet.

hmmm. I wonder how that got there?

Oh look a Federation and a Romulan just blushing in their new found peace with each other, blasting them selves to bits.

Well so much for their we are superior to petty bickering attitude, I see that they were so capable of working out their differences. Imagine their surprize when they find that the planet is not really real but just a figment their over active imagination.

Oh well this should if nothing else prove to be entertaining.

    Cool Change of direction

This is a general announcement to everyone who has been following the Akira vs D'Deridex thread:

We have decided that the game has become more of a role playing situation than a space combat one. There may very well be space combat in the near future (and we will use Space Dock to do such combat), but for now the campaign known as Star Trek: Vanguard is primarily role playing, using ICONTrek.

If Steve thinks we ought to go elsewhere we will do so, but I submit that the value of Space Dock is in its ability to mesh with the RPG, not as a stand-alone.

    Thanks for bearing with us.
