Narraetsor here again. Sir Sig, you can be the commander of the new D'Deridex if you want to. (No I am not sucking up) Jalu, your character idea looks good to me. Just role-play the question with Captain Marques. More Rommie players? narraetsor@dolfijn.nl

    Arrow Correction - OOG

OK, sorry about that Scott . . . I was going off the Deck layout stated on the TrekRPG website, Utopia Planatia, Akira Class (Type II).

OK, Let's just say my quarters are on Deck 4 facing aft then, OK. I'll make the corrections in my last posting also. Sorry about that.

Oh, Narrator Raets, one more thing, I've italiced the portion that brought in the capt's player . . . it's on page 8 of this string.

Oh, sorry, one more thing Scott . . . do you have the last damage report from the Flight Deck somewhere in your records . . . for that matter, should you post all the damage reports and email them, ONLY to the Vanguard crew. I remember there being repair time estimates also. That would be great.

    Arrow IG

-Getting of on Deck 4 he sees what he has seen through out the ship, the husstle and bussel of engineering teams going about thier job, trying to repair the ship. Lipumano continues on his way while having to dodge a couple ant-grav carts carrying work supplies and personnel. (Now I don't remember it ever being this busy around here, especially in this section of the crew quarters)

After a couple minutes walk he finally gets to his quarters-

"It's nice to be home" - He sighs with relief -

-But his rooms is not as he left it, pictures of comrades in arms fallen from the wall. A panoramic picture of San Diego hanging from one hook. Books strewn from the bookcase. (Boy this is going to take a while to clean up. But at least my auntiec M-14 is still in good condition. Hmm . .. I wonder, where did I leave my bat and glove)

He goes about getting relaxed. Taking a shower, changing to a clean uniform (for now is not the time to play some ball) (Hmm . . . I wonder, Do they need me on the bridge @ my station?). Then he arranges his room as it was before, taking some 25 minutes to clean up everything. (Now isn't it nice to have a clean room). Sigh. He sits down knowing that there is something he's forgetting.-

Excellent, Commander Sigimus at your service

I'll have a character sheet to you within a day or so.

At that rank then I'll probably give him 4 or 5 tours.

Okay who made Spacedock versions of the Theta class courier?

And can they please email me the stats.

Another thing is can we bolster the Theta's if they haven't been already. I mean a courier vs a Starfleet Attack Fighter especially after the last game!!!

We all know how well the fighters went in the last game.

Dude, I've seen about a half dozen of those 'deck listings' and the TrekRPG.net version wasn't too bad. The problem is that you need to look at that pic of the aft end of an Akira- the artwork done by Jaeger- You'll see that the hull slopes sharply back from the bridge shuttle bay down to the top of the aft flight deck control room. The only significant feature on the hull is a circular door or something that may be an external access to the engineering spaces. There are also a couple of 'skylights' that look similar to ones on the saucer of a Galaxy class, but they're awfully close to the Flight Deck. Damn! I wish we had the cross-section finished so I could send it out.

As for the repair estimates you're referring to, I'll act in my personna as XO to get that data to the Fed crew, since I've been roaming the ship doing personal damage assessment. My earlier summation is pretty clear though. (Who the heck let you keep a primitive chemical firearm in your stateroom??!! Funny thing is, one of my last local STRPG players carried a pair of chrome revolvers around! Couldn't separate her from them...)

    Robbert:
I thought Jalu allready had a character? I hope you didn't mix up your players and were talking about my character here - OTOH I hope you did, since it would mean you accept my concept.

    To all:
IIRC someone said Vanguard was about 1000 LY beyond Federation borders. Is this correct?
If it is, you shouldn't expect any reinforcements, not even in a few months, unless you left about 45 communication relays behind while traveling here. After all subspace signals decay to uselessness after traveling 22 light-years.

And unless the Romulans have some com-relais nearby their reinforcements can't be further away than 22 LYs, meaning they could be here in about 4 or 5 days.
Better hurry up on those repairs!

Hey, I just made it to Lt.jg.! Great!

When I get home today I will extract the Thetas entry from the SRM:Romulans testread file and mail it to you. Let's hope you can open that one.

Anybody else needs those stats ???

    Cool Thetas and Places

Hey Lancer, I'm another playtester who can't open the files. While I'm not playing a Romulan, I'm certainly interested to see how Steve's Theta differs from the one published earlier.

You're certainly right about the distance issue. I assumed that the USS Vanguard was aware of a Starfleet asset (confidential you know...) that was about two months away. Too bad we don't have the famous 'Script-Writer Drive', capable of crossing 30,000 light years while you discuss how to get your starship back from laughing Vulcans.

BTW, what are you playing in this game?

    To Cmdr. Powers

I am playing a science officer. Our characters will probably meet in the turbolift Cmdr. Powers has just entered. I'm just waiting for the Narraetsor to give me some feedback on an idea I cooked up. Just wait a little longer...

Concerning the file: Sure, no problem. Only thing is when I click on "e-mail Cmdr.Powers" here in the forum I just get a text box, but no function for attaching a file.
Just give me your e-mail address and I'll send it asap.

    Question Our current situation

    Hello again people! I'm back!

I read the posts, and looks like we're in big trouble. So... let's play Captain Marques again:

"Vanguard's ready room. Command staff meeting. Stardate something (Scott, do you have this information?).

'My friends, thanks for comming. There are a couple of things we need to discuss right now:

1 - The survivors: I want them aboard ASAP. Bring the wounded to the sickbay. The rest could be placed under custody for interrogation. We'll not be hostile to them, but we won't turn our backs to them either. I want commander Seylar. I want to look at her in the eyes and ask: "WHY?".

2 - Damage report: how bad our ship really is? how much time to repair it? Priority must be given to: first, sensors; second, shields; third, hangar bay; forth, computer core. Any questions? Suggestions? Objections?

3 - Away team on the Asteroid field: I want people scanning the borg debris. I think we already have something to study. USS Colorado made a scan on it during the battle, remember? What did the find out? Results, people, results.

4 - The planet: what do we know about this planet? Are they protected by the Prime Directive? We need those sensors ASAP to discover what made the romulans attack us. It must be important. They wouldn't risk the alliance with the Federation for nothing.'"

    Cool Security

I think we need to start talking about our situation privately (with Robbert getting CC'd, of course). I don't think the Romulans need to know everything. That's why I just posted our damage report privately to Captain Marques, Lipumano, and Robbert Raets. I'll post to Lancer and Craig as I get their emails.

    Cool Sensors

I have an idea that perhaps would help us with our sensors... for now. We still have ships outside the Vanguard. We could work on somekind of subspace link that brought us the sensor data of these ships, using them as our sensors. I read something about it in Spacedock.

The question is: it works for one ship, but does it with a dozen? Theoretically speaking, we could position the fighter around the Vanguard, each one scanning a fire arc. The Colorado would fly in front of us (30,000 kilometers is good distance) and would function as our primary sensor. We could develop a software interfacing with the sensor software of these ships, and it would "see" the sensor data provided by the ships as one large piece of data, which normaly would be provided by the sensor arrays. We could use the same sensor software. We just have to tell it to locate data somewhere else, and not in the sensor arrays. The only "if" is the other ships' sensor software. They should be altered to send data through subspace to us AND to display the data to the ship.

What do you think? Can we do it? Ideas, people, ideas! Our ship is still bleeding from the wounds of our last battle and there's another romulan ship comming after us. Time is against us. Let's work!!!

    See ya

    Unhappy Okay

Lancer has come up with one even better, but please, we need to keep this discussion private!
