There's a whole invasion fleet cloaked in the system!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I know there's trouble with a federation ship. And perhaps I couldn't authorize another capital ship but managed to get 2 size 3 couriers as well?

    Sounds reasonable.

    Cool A newbie!

A newbie!!! Welcome aboard, my friend! I think we can "afford" one more player, hehehehe

It's ok by me, but the narrator has the final word. What's your email pal? Post it here so we can talk.

    See ya

    Question

Leandro, are you looking for a ship-assignment or would you like to be a fighterpilot? Be mindful that Cmdr Sigimus needs expert pilots too.

With my previous character dead in all likleyhood,

I would like to join as a Romulan Officer,

and If I may be so permited the Theta team commander once again.

I will have to think up a new char. concept.

    Talking Yay!

Hi Doug, I was wondering when you'd quit fooling around with RA! and notice what was going on here!

Concerning the Theta's, please do not allow Cmdr Sigimus more than 2 of these things if he's using Steve's new take on them. The Theta's listed in the RSRM are more powerful and have torpedo launchers (unlike the ones we originally fought). The shields are a little less powerful though...

    Arrow OOG

Hi Doug, welcome back. Granted I'm not that thrilled about getting another 'enemy' but if that's what the narrator wants, I guess we'll give the Rommies another bloody nose.

Hi Newb . . . sorry, Leandro. So you're interested in taking up the badge of honor and join Starfleet? Great, always looking for fellow Peacekeepers. Read the thread . . . there should be several postings listing open positions, either that or email one of us, the Senior Staff onboard the USS Vanguard, we're more then will to accept you with open arms.

    CAG out.

    Foiled again ;)

Okay, okay; 2 Theta's it is. Can't blame a Romulan for trying

I would greatly appreciate all personnel loyal to the Romulan Star Empire. To stand ready an except postings in this new task force.

I noticed a while ago, but I still enjoy RA!

I posted a while back, but no one responded so I decided the direct approach was better.

I like RA! too, especially since I got Curt to change the fighters and include the Vanguard!

Hmm... You know, now we can play the battles out with Red Alert! instead of Space Dock...

Steve left the Thetas pretty open with different Romulan leaders modifying them quite a bit. Just the same, he did stick pretty close to the Thetas we used before. I just hope those fore and aft launchers don't give you too much of an edge

If you do not like the Theta's I could replace one with a couple of Vel ¡tar-class Drop Ships.

I kind of like them, and they are only size 2 instead of the Theta's size 3.

    Cool Theta's vs Dropships

For consistency's sake you probably ought to keep the Theta's, even the uprated ones. I think the current version of D'Deridex carries 16 shuttles, so you have plenty of room to drop a few of the size 2 shuttles and make room for 2 Theta's.

You know that I underequipped the Vanguard in the first scenario deliberately. She could have had twice as many fighters. Now I kind of wish I hadn't since she's really underequipped now!
The reason for only having 12 fighters was that Vanguard was also carrying a Runabout and a Scoutship and might have needed the extra room for later in the voyage- to haul loot home. If an Akira class has the same resources available as an Intrepid class (and I don't see why not), we ought to be able to make more fighters eventually anyway!

Yeah and the Akira has 100 su for craft vs the D'deridex's 40 su

Still being a carrier, you'd have a lot of parts. But can you assemble any within a few days???

And if your using official SRM, then you can bet your bottom dollar I am to

So 2 Theta's it shall be. But I reserve the right to include small craft to represent shuttles if the SRM:Rommies doesn't have anything suitable. (I've only quickly scanned the manuscript)

Maybe I'll take a fed shuttle and make some modifications such as a cloak and disruptors etc..

    Cool Romulan Shuttles

Yeah, I noticed the lack too. I seriously think that Steve decided that a shuttle is a shuttle is a shuttle, just like LUGTrek did. Of course your shuttlecraft will have a disruptor instead of a phaser and so on.

The only differences I'm currently showing for USS Vanguard from the official SRM version, is the use of two MARA's in place of one (same power though) and the use of Bio-Neural Gelpacks for the computer. This is sort of an uprated Akira, but not with enough differences to raise any hackles. The two MARA's make us a bit more survivable, but not that much more.

I'll work up some shuttle stats and post them to the group for review.
