    Description and Notes
Fleet data: Using the tried and true Vel tar Drop Ship class as a base design, the Vel’Tarix class Armoured Shuttle was born. Designed as the ‘heavy shuttle’ for most capital ships, this is the closest thing the Romulans have to a dedicated Fighter. A D’deridex class typically has a squadron of 8 of these heavy shuttles along with a standard complement of smaller interplanetary shuttlecraft.

So basically I upped the warp and impulse, tweaked the sensors.

Ripped out the crap like replicators and the extra tractor.

Added another wing disruptor and a forward cannon but lost the Plasma launcher.

Thoughts? Remember I need something against those fighters

    Arrow WTF?

    OOG-

OK, hold on a minute, when has it been proven in Canon that the Roms have a 'Heavy Shuttle'? OK, OK, level the playing field, I know the argument. Why not, the Federation has them. Where in Canon does it say the Roms DON'T have them.

OK, OK. But still, doesn't that make this game rather . . .UNBALANCED! ? For Christ sake! Are you just looking to cream us and end this game ?

Cause if you want that, why don't you send an entire FLT after us! JC! Give us a little hope here.

A size 6 vessel with her attached size 3 vessels against a size 10 vessel and her attached size 2 & 3 vessels? Does anyone think that is a little overweighted?

WE've proven an Akira with a understrenghted air wing can do the job. What are we trying to prove now?

This is not, in my eyes, or the way it has evolved, another simulation . NO, this is a Game and games are ment to continue!

Sure they may have their challenging moments, and their ruff points to them. But they continue, regardless, as long as there are people wanting to play, they live!

So let us for JC sake!

I have to agree with JALU3 on this - if I had wanted to send my character to an early death I might as well have written her stats down on a scrap of paper and used that to light a cigarette, instead of entering this game.

Everbody who spend a little time with the Spacedock rules knows that it is possible to build some veeeery tough ships with said rules.
If you wanted to demonstrate this fact to us you might as well have safed yourself the time Sig.

And just out of curiosity, how many of these little babies were you planning on stuffing into your hangar bays? On second thoughts, don't answer that question - it's probably much better for my blood-pressure if I don't know.

At the start this game was advertised as a "rematch". With the damage the Vanguard has taken and the loss of fighters from the original game this would have been hard enough on us Feds, but now it appears that we have a snowball's chance in hell for our survival.

Please do not use these "shuttles" in the game!

Ok, brakeassist here! Sir Sig, maybe you should forget about these heavy shuttles. While I don't mind if you deploy some regular shuttles when you find out about the fighter squadron, please give the Vanguard some chance of survival.

Talking Thought that would get your attention

Certainly a little over the top but I was having fun with a existing ship

In all honestly I was only hoping to have 8 of these babies. That is of course if you were playing a full airwing.

But you have to amit its a touch one sided when you have all those fighters buzzing around unchecked

So basically if I've got 40 SUs of secondary vessels; I plan to use it for other then 2 Thetas.

Even if I have to go back to the drawing board and make a whoosy shuttle

Now if you can't handle that, then your just a wee bit scared of Romulans!

Actually a size 7 ship, with what was it? 10 Fighters! Not to mention all those torps and the fact this sucker is a Heavy Cruiser.

Sure I top the scale in size and beam weapons and marginally in shields. But you guys get me in speed, torps, fighters etc.

But we all saw how long the last D'deridex lasted didn't we!

I intend to come out on top or atleast kill every damn fighter!

So much for Romulan courage, frightend of a damaged Federation heavy cruiser and a few fighters.

Obviously your shiny new BATTLESHIP just does not cut it. I'll ask the CEO of Vanguard to find some yellow hull paint for you.

    OOG

    Ok, I'm back from drill.

But anyways. I'll admit Sig that the 'shuttle' you had designed was pretty nice indead, something that I would enjoy playing with if we were on better terms. But the way you've been going, it doesn't seem that way.

As far as number of fighters, I would say that that information is not going to be presented due to security issues. However, I will say this much. If I had my FULL AIR WING my tune would be far different, as would the Narrators I would imagine. But since it is, I will raise the Red flag on your 'Heavy Fighter'.

But back to game. Come on people, let's try to make it the game that is has evolved to be, not some throw away simulation that we can all say we remembered once.

Well lets get on with it then

I'm hoping to bring Phantom in on my side as a fellow loyal Romulan supporter.

Surely it will be okay to use even basic shuttles though won't it???

Don't worry Jalu3, it will be memorable when I shoot down everyone of those fighters and that poor excuse for a cruiser

And Leana, better watch your caboose when I decloak right behind you with a full volley of Plasma Torpedoes

    Unhappy Game

I want a balanced game, not a massacre, not even another combat simulation. I just want roleplaying. Pure, simple and funny roleplaying. It's far more constructive and less stressing.

And Sig Sig... if a subspace accident suddenly hit your ship while you enroute to our position, don't be desperate. Starfleet is here to save you and your comrades.

    Peace
