    Photomanip Discussion

Okay I spoke about it in another thread, but we are now getting off that topic, so let's all move over here and talk about these.

I use them, I make them (sometimes) and I love them

    How about you?

Would you be intersted in a webpage that provided a gallery of photomanips in the Star Trek vein?

Let's discuss, as I am willing to webmaster such a resource and add what I can.

Well it sounds like a great idea to me. But you knew that already

I think, as someone else has already asked, that it would be a good idea to provide some sort of 'how to' resource as well.

Very much agreed, so would you (or maybe Roxby or someone else) be interested in putting together a lesson plan?

I would, but I am no where near the caliber of guys like you (not being modest, just honest) and I think with some screen caps as well, we could see some good stuff

Now here is a question for everyone...

    Yahoo group?

    or

    Webpage?

    Let me know

Hmm, a Yahoo group may not be a bad idea.

As far as a how to guide, I'd certainly be willing to provide input. Although I am not the best person in the world when it comes to explanation.

Well I think a Yahoo Group is the best way to go as well, so that people can post their own pics without having to send them to a webmaster and then wait for the update.

    So just in case everyone likes this idea;

Well I'm visiitng my mother this weekend, and forgot to bring my damn laptop. So I'm a tad limited with what I can do, and cerainly can't post pics.

However, I'll sign up when I get home tonight, and try to post something.

    Well I've signed up.

I'm off tomorrow (although I do have work to do as well) so I hope to do something, or at least just post some pics, by tomorrow evening.

    HELL YES!!

A well done photomanip is the perfect thing to get the mood right.

I also like "casting" my series with celebrities.

When I get the time (those of us in the military are a wee bit busy kicking ass right now) I plan to start learning how to do it myself.

For now, I'd be happy just to leach off the labors of others.

Well I hope that this will turn out to be an excellent resource for Trek players and narrators alike

Any ideas how else we can promote the sight and maybe attract some of the other photomanipers out there?

    Hey DanG

I was just thinking...you could upload some of those images you couldn't email to the STPMA and everyone could use them then

I think we should concentrate on getting the group started, and then try to recruit more people, and promote the site. Not much point promoting it until we have some content
