Thread: Guest Star NPC's

    Post Guest Star NPC's

This thread is for us narrators to share any 'guest star' NPC's that might have (or be due to) appear in our games. By definition, the 'guest stars' are characters, who have appeared during the TV shows, be it TOS, DS9, TNG or Voyager.

Basically if anyone has a regular or irregular character from the shows and wants
to share them and maybe adjust the abilities with input from other GMs then this is the place to do it!

I'll start by introducing an old friend!

Eddington has a good luck charm, a $1 Canadian coin he calls his lucky loony. I wouldn't give him points for superstition, though, it's just a role-playing thing.

I remember the name Gul Evek, but I can't remember what episode(s) he was in or what he did.

LUGTrek isn't really dead. Not as long as we remember it.

Gul Evek appeared first in one of the later episodes of TNG, when the Enterprise tried to relocate the Amerind colony.

He next showed up in DS9, as Lt. Commander Cal Hudsons counterpart in the DMZ, in the double episode 'The Maquis'.

We last saw him pursuing Chakotays ship through the Badlands in the opening sequence of Voyagers 'Caretaker'...

    Background Information
    Template: Grazerite (Player's Guide)
Overlay: Federation Diplomat (since the Player's Guide says he was a diplomat) (Price of Freedom)
Early Life: Academic Upbringing (ST: DS9 RPG)
Advanced Training: Higher Education (ST: DS9 RPG)
Professional Career: Diplomat, then Politics (ST: DS9 RPG)

Note: President Jaresh-Inyo's age is based on his Character Creation (beginning age 17 + 3 years Advanced Training + 10 years Professional Career (based on Way of D'era, which gives 2 DP per year) = 10, + 28 years (equaling 52 DP as per Way of D'era, spent only on Renown!), = 58. Seems like a pretty good age for a president. But how long do Grazerites live?).

I'm not entirely pleased with all of this, but I figured I had better post this soon, or it would never have been done.

Let me know what's good and what's not, please.

For years I ran a convention campaign centering on a huge starport in the 26th century world of "Star Trek". In one story, the crew encountered an amnesiac visitor that started displaying strange powers that were causing problems for the crew. Towards the end,as he was piecing togather his past, the crew discovered to their dismay that the visitor was none other than Trelane, the infamous "Squire of Gothos". I had intended just to make him a guest star(therefore, a one-shot) but as the years went,he turned up quite a few times to the point wwhere he is now considered the Commander's arch-nemisis. Trelane in this game acts more like a teenager on the verge of adulthood instead of a spoiled brat as portrayed in the "The Squire of Gothos". His parents wiped his mind and sent him back to his "playthings" in the hopes that he might be able to mature into a more responsible being. However, just like any other teenager, he has a habit of getting into trouble and his powers just add to the mess. Also like any other teenager, he is trying to discover what he should do with his life as he enters adulthood. The crew hopes he finds what he is seeking, for when Trelane arrives trouble inevitably follows.
