    Post DS9: Battle Maps

Has anyone tried to make sense of these (various) but mainly 'Reckoning' & 'When it Rains' (both SF and Klingon).
There is a wealth of data if only you can make sense of it all, i am of course making some headway but have had to stretch a few points to make sense.
Perhaps we can start a discussion on these maps to through some light on the upcoming Dominion War Sourcebook.
Some key points: (been watching season 6 & 7 again)
*AR 558 (automated relay station?) could be in Chintoka but more likely a nearby system
    *Benzar to NWN of Bajor
    *Betazed ENE of Bajor
    * Oh and turn the map 90 degrees to the right it makes more sense that way.
*Romulans are effectively surrounded on 3 sides by cardie, fed, klingon
    * Romies and Cardie border very close, when the Rommies attacked the Cardie border the day after they broke the treaty. Thus 1 sector away thereabouts
*Cardie and Klingons near ie Betraka Nebula but not to near or two far say 100 ly gap at most.

    Phew, bring on the questions!

Could you explain what you mean by NWN and ENE? Does N stand for Galactic North (the third dimension), or Coreward?

Just compass directions with North directly to the top/above of Bajor

So does this mean the borders touch more when you get into the z-ward areas? I always saw a huge gap in fan maps coreward between the Cardies and Rommies where they placed Ferengi, Son'a' nomadic areas and other such freely.

So effectively (2d) the feds can only expand between cardie/klingon and klingon/rommie.
Also considering the map the cardies probably partially bordered the feds on atleast 1/3 of the space fed way.
Fed space prob curves around Ferengi, not too close so this could be the haven of many small neutral worlds, maybe even tzenkathi?

    Making some progress now!
Having extrapolated Earth's (rough) position within the centre of the fed inner defence perimeter of 150 ly radius (akin to the TOS StarTrek Maps: inner sphere).
Then a shought hop 0f 50.3 ly to SB 375 and then 25-30 ly to Bajor: gets ya app. 225 ly
Seems a long way but its really only 5-6 sectors (the big DS9 ones which are actually x2 standard 20's) away.
To coincide with Vulcan i had to move Betazed closer, so now i have a world (fed) in dommie hands which is about 60 odd ly from bajor, Trill? Did it ever get taken? or maybe its the argolis cluster?
