    Dan,

I particularly appreciated your "Law Enforcer", "Bartender" and "Dabo Girl (hostess)" templates. This is because they are generic enough to be useful no matter where your campaign is... or even what genre it is.

Since you're asking for requests, here's some that are generic enough to be used in any campaign but still associated with adventuring situations:

    Private Eye
    Business Tycoon
    Artist(e)

    Couriers and armored car guards?

Dan, what about courier services? Kinda like freighter captain Kasidy Yates, but independent (and possibly rogue).

For that matter, what about freighter captains? Would they be any different from SF captains?

And how about 23rd century equivalent of armored guards?

One thought that comes to mind in light of all the recent Anthrax & postal service business....

Secuirty guards for administrative aides/ mailrooms / communicatons arrays.

    Federation Terraformer

Terraformers settle on worlds not Class M and begin the long and exhaustive process of transforming them into the habitable paradises that become the Federation Colony worlds of the future. Tough, and hard-working, the terraformers of today often become the colonists of tomorrow, once they've wrestled one particular world - their first, or their dozenth - into one habitable, they often form a bond, and wish to stay.

The first one is pretty much the Civilian Crew template Styro suggested.

23rd century templates I am likely to stay off, I dont have the TOS book, and dont really like TOS...

Security guards, as I see them are likely to use the Law Enforcer template, with appropriate training... But there is the Bodyguard as a possible (although I originally thought it similar to the Warrior template in the DS9 book).

Oops. My bad. What I meant to say was the Star Trek equivalent of a security officer in the Star Trek equivalent of an armored car. A security guard commissioned or given the task of guarding cargo for a specific courier, but I see your point. Kinda re-hasing the same old thing.

A 36-point Doctor overlay for the non-Starfleet Docs out there...

    Doctor
The medical doctors of the various worlds tend to draw from the same selection of skills, but it is more open to variation in the specializations. Depending on whether the doctor comes from a Federation world or not, their methods might vary, and the presence of an ethical code might not be present (and thus I've not added a Hippocratic oath, for example).

    Computer (Choose Specialization) 1 (2)
First Aid (Choose Specialization) 2 (3)
Language: Either Local Language 1, or Federation Standard 1
Life Sciences (Choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Medical Sciences (Choose Specialization) 2 (3)
Personal Equipment (Medical Tricorder or the like) 2 (3)
Physical Sciences (Choose Specialization) 1 (2)
Shipboard Systems (Medical Systems) 2 (3)

I only have one comment. The blue is difficult to read on the grey background

Other than that, I don't see a problem. How about Non-SF medical training packages? I trust you'll include Hippocratic Oath in there somewhere.

Eep. That was intended as a non-SF overlay... Or did you mean the "training" packages in the same way as the survival courses thread?

I think even a non-SF overlay would include "do no harm" for doctors. I'd just include Hippocratic Oath somewhere along the line, or something like it, depending on the culture of the character, of course

Technically, the starfleet medical officer overlay doesn't include the 2-point disadvantage of "Hippocratic Oath," either. It's listed in the Medical slot for the Academy training, but I think the difference is between knowing the rules and holding those rules as a personal ideal: same with the Prime Directive. All of the starfleet officers are supposed to follow it, and they all do. But with the disadvantage Code of Honor: Prime Directive, breaking the rule has a point/penalty effect on the character - it's a personal code they've broken, and they're suffering for the mental self-doubt thier actions have created.

So, I figure all doctors in SF swear to the Hippocratic Oath, but not all of them would have a mental breakdown (ie: the code of honor and its side effects) if they had to break the rule.

Then again, maybe I'm overemphasizing the idea of the Code of Honor disadvantage. I see it as "taking a rule to heart," - I don't think all the Klingons had the code of honor Worf did - they schemed a lot, and didn't suffer for it in their psyche (sort of like Ezri pointed out). I'd see the same for doctors. I picture that doctor that performed the spinal surgery on Worf and I think, no, she had no Hippocratic Oath disadvantage, though I'm sure she recited it and took the oath.

    eliminator?

How about a Ferengi eliminator (a la Leck from "The Magnificent Ferengi")?

    an afterthought

The Taliban and/or Bin Ladin would make a good Liquidator/Eliminator type, unless you'd rather create an Afghan-style species template...

Not quite sure what your getting at here?

However the Eliminator is easily covered by the Assassin template in Raiders, Renegades and Rogues...
