    Favourite DS9 Episode

The third and final poll for now...for you Voyager fans...well I didn't like that many episodes so you'll have to post your own.

My personal favourite episode was Blood Oath because it featured the 3 original Klingons in full Klingon regalia - ridges and bumps and all...way cool.

    Poll

My favorite DS9 (Well one of them) is Trials and Tribble-ations...The one where the DS9 crew goes back in time...always thought it was cool how they fit the DS9 crew into the original Trouble with Tribbles episode.

Your list seems rather strange to me, because none of my favorite episodes appear on it.

    1) The Visitor -- Hauntingly tender and dramatic, this was to Deep Space Nine what "The Inner Light" was to The Next Generation. A beautiful episode. Definitely my favorite.

    2) Duet -- An incredibly powerful storyline that showcased some fine acting while causing the viewer to reflect upon their own ideas and prejudices. A close second in my list of best episodes.

    3) In the Pale Moonlight -- This episode, with it's tense psychological plot, highlighted the greyness of ethics that was often a great strength of Deep Space Nine that separated it from other Trek series.

    4) Necessary Evil -- The first meeting between Odo and Kira amidst the backdrop of life on the station during the heyday of the Cardassian Occupation, coupled with an investigative thriller -- truly one of the best of the best.

Other excellent episodes come to mind that aren't on your list, such as "Shadows and Symbols," "Sacrifice of Angels," and "Progress".

I'm not saying that what I think are the best are necessary what everybody else should consider the best, but I'm curious -- what was your criteria for making the list?

Thanks for bringing those episodes back to my mind -- I think it's getting time for me to pull them off the video shelf and view them again!

    I voted Other

    The Magnifecent Ferengi.

    Iggy Pop as a Vorta.

    Ferengi Hero's.

    What more need be said.

Well there is the fact that Quark has my gun.

One of the prop makers for DS9 was a man named Dragon Dronet. I had made a Phaser/Disruptor pistol out of some old toy parts. Dragon saw it at a SciFi con. He liked it. He copied it. It was to be a "Vulcan Phaser" but it was dropped. Later it became a background piece, until Quark used it in the The Magnifecent Ferengi. If you want a good look at it check out the art of Star Trek page 126 middle of the page. The toy I made it out of was a Invid Shocktrooper from Robotech, the Hand grip was a leg, the barrel was the gun pod.

And that is my 20 seconds of Star Trek fame.

I think you need to expand your poll... So far I have not seen any of my particular favourites listed...

I think if you get all the episodes up, you might get a fair representation...

Oh Welll, I'll just stick with I like them all.

But top DS9 for me is 'The Visitor' and 'The Siege of AR-588' Both brought raw emotion from me, and made me feel like I was empathising with the characters. For me thats good TV.

    Cool

My favorite was In the Pale Moonlight.

The poll is not that accurate as most seem to be put on the "other" vote.

Hey I have to selective here, they only give me 10 slots on the poll. There were some 150 episodes of DS9 and well these were more or less my favourites...

The Visitor. And Duet. My two favorite DS9 episodes.

I have to agree that none of my faves showed up on the poll.

I'd definitely put In the Pale Moonlight first (probably among all Trek episodes, period), followed by Duet.

Beyond that there are so many really good ones that it's hard to narrow it down.

Well it might be a whole lotta polls but perhaps one per season.

    Thus representing a decent selection.

But perhaps only with Ds9 ('cause of all the 'other' votes)

24 polls would be a lot of data

'Duet' and 'In The Pale Moonlight' are mine as well. Though 'Far Beyond The Stars' is up there too, but since two of mine were 'other' choices, I went with that one.

I have to say 'In the Pale Moonlight' is my personal favorite. It is so simple, and so complex at the same time. It show us the true nature of humanity in the 24th Century, and the complete shades of grey between the 'bacl' and 'white' established in TNG.

I think Duet is the best one, but Trials and Tribble-ations is my favorite. If you know what I mean. It's really a question of apples and oranges; laughter and fun vs drama and message.
